The Village Innusit tipis

The Village Innusit tipis are set on the shore of the Batiscan river, in the heart of the Haute-Mauricie forest, which gives the site a remarkable character coloured with authenticity. The site is accessed by boat from the private parking or La Seigneurie du Triton close by.

Come experience the same delight our satisfied customers did: Being comfortably muffled up in a sleeping bag, warmed by a fire in the centre of the tipi, sharing good moments with the family, between friends or as a couple, that’s the magical experience of a night in the tipi. They can accommodate from 2 to 10 people, they are equipped with sleeping bags and camp cots. It is possible to rent a private tipi. On site, contemporary toilets, individual cabins to change clothes and rudimentary showers are installed.

Activities close to nature and Amerindian arts and crafts

During your stay at Village Innusit, you can do activities related to the Amerindian way of life: Canoe and rabaska canoe rides, nature and beaver observation, hiking, mushrooms and wild berries picking, etc. In the evening, around a campfire, people talk about their adventures of the day.

On site, handicraft from local and other Canadian Nations is presented. You will surely find an interesting piece that you will keep as a memento of your stay.

Accommodation Package in a tipi

From 85$ per night per person, the tipi accommodation package is very affordable. The package includes the activities, the evening meal and breakfast, the sleeping bag and the camp cot. Meals are served in the longhouse that can accommodate up to 40 people. The international cuisine with traditional inspiration is delicious and the grills on a wood fire produce a warm ambiance. You will not regret your vacation in a tipi at the Village Innusit. It is possible to add lunch at noon hour, cooked on the grill in the forest and accessible by a canoe ride mixed with hiking. Alternatively, you can combine your night stay in the tipi with a stay at La Seigneurie du Triton that will totally immerse you in the heart of the forest to recharge your batteries.
